Mr. Hoyt is a graduate of the University of Connecticut with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of CPAs.

He is a member of the Groton Lions Club, and has served on the Board of Directors for various not-for-profit agencies, including the Community Foundation of Southeastern Connecticut where he serves on the audit committee. He has over thirty years of experience with not-for-profit clients. Mr. Hoyt lives in Groton.
