Office Manager / Bookkeeper

Hoyt, Filippetti & Malaghan, LLC is a growing full-service accounting and advisory firm serving clients throughout Southern New England. We provide our clients with professional, personalized services and guidance in a wide range of financial and business needs.


We are looking for someone energetic, ambitious and driven to join our team of professionals as an office/project manager and bookkeeper. As an office manager, you would help manage our firm's business operations and activities in a way that keeps the entire team moving forward.


This role is for someone who has high attention to detail, is flexible, and who is willing to be the "go to" person for a variety of office needs.


As the office/project manager and bookkeeper, you may:

  • Coordinate with members of the firm and clients to ensure projects are completed timely and on-budget

  • Support a variety of tax, advisory, and attest engagements

  • Assist in the client proposal and on-boarding process

  • Document all processes and ensure compliance

  • Build community relationships and work to effectively grow the firm


Desired Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience serving as a project team lead

  • Interest and experience in using technology to improve work efficiency including experience with QuickBooks or similar software

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as the ability to interact with management and clients

  • Possess analytical and problem solving skills

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritize engagements
